Vacancy information
As a Naval Architect specializing in Weight Control and Hydrostatics, you will be a key member of the engineering team and your main responsibilities will include ensuring the vessel's design is safe, stable, and within weight limits. You will use various ship design software, such as PIAS stability software, and conduct inclining tests. You will also collaborate with clients, classification societies, subcontractors, and shipyards to meet all requirements.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Conduct ship design calculations focusing on weight and hydrostatic properties.
- Perform inclining tests to verify vessel stability.
- Provide expertise during the proposal phase.
- Manage weight and hydrostatics aspects during engineering and production phases.
- Develop and review solutions for complex projects.
- Contribute to research and development, proposals, and engineering activities.

What do you need
- BSc/MSc Degree in Naval Architecture or similar with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Having knowledge of general ship design.
- Theoretical understanding of hydrostatics, including intact and damage stability and longitudinal strength.
- Familiarity with PDM systems and hydrostatic calculation software; basic programming skills are considered a plus.
- Speaking English fluently.
