Production Support Engineer Shipbuilding
Are you an engineer who enjoys working close to production and solving real technical challenges on complex build projects? We are looking for a Production Support Engineer who acts as the link between engineering and production within a high-end manufacturing environment.

Vacancy information
In this role, you are responsible for your engineering scope within a project and support production teams with practical solutions and technical insights. You ensure that designs are not only correct on paper, but also feasible and efficient to build.
You work closely with multiple disciplines and play a key role in translating engineering into successful execution on the shop floor.
- Support production with technical solutions, clarifications and design adjustments
- Assess manufacturability and feasibility of designs
- Identify bottlenecks and propose practical, multidisciplinary solutions
- Resolve technical issues during production and escalate when needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and project requirements
- Review drawings, 3D models and technical documentation before release
- Monitor quality, planning and progress of your scope
- Contribute to improving engineering standards and working methods
- Coach and guide junior engineers within your discipline

What do you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or similar
- Around 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering or production support
- Strong affinity with production environments and technical problem solving
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining or outfitting
- Experience with AutoCAD and PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)
- Familiar with industry standards and regulations
- Strong communication skills in English
