Vacancy information
In this role, you are involved from the early project phase in designing cable routes on board naval vessels. You translate technical requirements into practical and robust designs, taking into account specific naval standards such as EMC, shock and vibration resistance, redundancy and safety. You work closely with engineers from other disciplines to deliver an integrated and future-proof solution.
Specific duties in this role include:
- Designing and modelling cable routes, trays and penetrations
- Developing efficient and safe routing solutions for onboard cabling
- Applying naval requirements such as EMC, shock, vibration and safety
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines within the project team
- Contributing to technical documentation and progress reporting

What do you need
- Bachelor’s degree in technical direction
- Experience with or interest in cable routing and cable support system design
- Affinity with naval standards and system requirements
- Structured way of working with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience with Inventor, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD
