Lead Systems Engineer

You will be part of the Systems Engineering team within the broader Information Engineering department.

Vacancy information

As a Lead Systems Engineer, you apply and strengthen systems engineering within complex offshore projects, such as floating offshore transformer stations. You ensure that requirements are clearly captured, structured, and translated into practical design criteria.

You turn requirements into concrete choices and support project teams in working in a structured and effective way. As a key link between clients and multidisciplinary teams, you ensure information remains consistent, traceable, and usable throughout all project phases.

Specific duties in this role include:

  • Translating client and project requirements into structured systems engineering processes and design criteria.
  • Setting up and managing requirements engineering, including collection, alignment, and traceability.
  • Establishing and implementing Verification & Validation (V&V) processes.
  • Supporting and guiding project teams in applying systems engineering methodologies in a practical and effective way.
  • Coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and project objectives.
  • Working with tools such as Relatics to manage requirements and project information.
  • Ensuring that requirements and project data remain clear, consistent and usable throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentoring colleagues and contributing to the development of systems engineering standards, methods, and best practices.

What do you need

  • BSc or MSc degree in a technical field.
  • At least 10 years of experience with systems engineering in complex technical projects.
  • Proven experience in setting up and applying systems engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of Verification & Validation methodologies and tools such as Relatics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
